The Abomination of Desolation

Merely posting a link. This is from an article by Mark Steyn:

From the Office of the District Attorney in Philadelphia:

Viable babies were born. Gosnell killed them by plunging scissors into their spinal cords. He taught his staff to do the same.

This is a remarkable moment in American life: A man is killing actual living, gurgling, bouncing babies on an industrial scale – and it barely makes the papers. Had he plunged his scissors into the spinal cord of a Democrat politician in Arizona, then The New York Times, ABC, CBS, NBC and everyone else would be linking it to Sarah Palin’s uncivil call for dramatic cuts in government spending. But “Doctor” Kermit Gosnell’s mound of corpses is apparently entirely unconnected to the broader culture.

Why? Well, because it’s all about a woman’s “right to choose”. What women? Well, how about the misses Robyn Reid and Davida Johnson:

FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Robyn Reid didn’t want an abortion. But when her grandmother forcibly took her to an abortion clinic one wintry day in 1998, Reid figured she’d just tell the doctor her wishes and then sneak away.

Instead, Kermit Gosnell barked: “I don’t have time for this!” He then ripped off her clothes, spanked her, wrestled her onto a dirty surgical stretcher, tied her flailing arms and legs down and pumped sedatives into her until she quit screaming and lost consciousness, she told the Daily News yesterday…

In 2001, Davida Johnson changed her mind about aborting her 6-month fetus after seeing Gosnell’s dazed, bloodied patients in his recovery room, she said. But in the treatment room, Gosnell’s staffers ignored her protests, smacked her, tied her arms down and sedated her into unconsciousness, she said. She awoke no longer pregnant.

My comment:
To my fellow Catholics, members of the most ancient institution still extant in the world, remember that, for us, the question of abortion is not a matter for the private conscience.

Rome has spoken: your ‘right to choose’ is limited to a choice between the Holy Mother Church and her sacrament of communion and your loyalty to the Unholy Culture of Death, and its sacrament of Abortion. There is no third option.

Because this question is settled for us, the spectacle of allegedly Catholic politicians, pundits, and voters supporting Abortion is more abhorrent than any crimes of the Borgia Popes. This modern age is the age of Church Corruption. Now is the time when the Protestants who call us the Whore of Babylon are correct.

Because Catholics form a significant swing vote in this nation, it is no inability of our that child-sacrifice is still the law of the land. It is merely our unwillingness.

We, dear sons of Our Lady of Sorrows, we are to blame for this abomination in our midst. If we voted as one bloc, voting as our Church and our conscience demands we must vote, the abomination would be gone, and Moloch would starve.

You can be Catholic. Or you can vote Democrat. You simply cannot do both.

Until and unless the Democrat Party divests itself of Planned Parenthood, to vote for any Democrat is akin to buying soap made from human flesh from Auschwitz. You are aiding and abetting and condoning mass human sacrifices that far outnumber the most gross excesses of the Aztecs.

To vote for a pro-Infanticide Republican, or even a Republican whose support for life is lukewarm, is likewise unconscionable.

And do not tell me the law cannot be changed. It could be changed in one election cycle. According to the Constitution, Congress has the plenary power to limit the jurisdiction of the federal judiciary. This means that at any time there is pro-life majority in both Houses, and a pro-life President to sign it, a bill to excuse the Constitutionality of the abortion issue from judicial review could pass into law. The states would then be free to limit or abolish this Carthaginian practice.

To my Protestant brothers in Christ, I remind you of the words of your most famous sermon.

So that, thus it is that natural men are held in the hand of God, over the pit of hell; they have deserved the fiery pit, and are already sentenced to it; and God is dreadfully provoked, his anger is as great towards them as to those that are actually suffering the executions of the fierceness of his wrath in hell, and they have done nothing in the least to appease or abate that anger, neither is God in the least bound by any promise to hold them up one moment; the devil is waiting for them, hell is gaping for them, the flames gather and flash about them, and would fain lay hold on them, and swallow them up; the fire pent up in their own hearts is struggling to break out: and they have no interest in any Mediator, there are no means within reach that can be any security to them. In short, they have no refuge, nothing to take hold of; all that preserves them every moment is the mere arbitrary will, and uncovenanted, unobliged forbearance of an incensed God.

I ask you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, if the Lord was willing to visit the Captivity Babylon upon Israel, and the destruction of Solomon’s Temple to punish the Chosen People for their transgressions, how much more willing is He to punish a mere secular nation-state of gentiles for transgressions profoundly more cruel, bloody, hypocritical, godless, wicked?

To the heathens and the damned, I despair of speech or reasoning. The love you have to spill the blood of children, children you will not even call human beings, has blinded you.

Some things are beyond words.
