The Rule of Names

A reader with the cautious by luminous name of Check Light is discussing the Left, and observes: “Sudden thought: their use of this lying magic means that they are witches.”

As a child, I read the book A WIZARD OF EARTHSEA. The author, Le Guin, daughter of an anthropologist, was well aware of primitive tribal lore holding that a witchdoctor who knew the true name of a man held power to curse that man, and so the custom was to hide the true name. In Le Guin’s fantasy rules of magic, to change the name of a thing changed the thing, transmogrified it, and a prince turned into a frog. It is called the Rule of True Names.

Leftists routinely act as if changing the name of a thing changes the thing itself. Calling sodomy “gay” or pedophilia “minor-attracted” suddenly makes sexual perversion a matter of personal taste, like preferring blondes to brunettes. Likewise when they coin new terms to make normal and decent things sound horrid and indecent: heteronormative, capitalist, reactionary to refer to romance, free trade.

So, yes, the Leftists are witches.

Specifically, they follow the Esoteric tradition of Hegel, Boehme, the Theosophists, Gnostics, and so on.

They differ from other esoteric by being a secular version.

The Left are materialist magicians who worship the powers of Libido, History, and Evolution without calling these Powers and Principalities by their right names: Ashtaroth, Moloch, Baal.
