Ben Carson Just Won my Support
I am not exactly a one-issue voter, but I do think some things have priority over others.
As an ex-newspaperman and newspaper editor, I am perhaps more sensitive to how loathsome, dangerous, and morbid is the corruption in the Media. It is part of the Democrat Party political machine, an organ of propaganda, and engine designed deliberately to deceive the people, and it exasperates me that many an otherwise intelligent person allows himself to be deceived, and by such transparent and halfwitted tricks as the newsharlots routinely employ.
The media machine is the enemy.
Without them, the Leftists have no power, and the Jihadists have no support, no apologists, no smokescreens to hide their evil deeds, no propagandist to blame the Jews for daring to be the victims of these lunatic barbarian fanatics. The media are destroying the nation by addicting it to a diet of lies.
So it is with great pleasure that I see a candidate, and not in a blustering or angry way, rebuke and dismiss the routine falsehoods of the Democrat party activists posing as journalists, and call them out.
I wish I could find an unedited version of these two exchanges, particularly one which did not have the misleading headline that Dr Carson grew angry. My great admiration for the man springs from the fact that he can say such withering and truthful remarks without the least trace of anger, or even of impoliteness, to these vile jackals.
And this edited version leaves off the crowning moment where Dr Carson sarcastically gave the brain-free newsbimbo kudos for the media’s job of ‘vetting’ him.
Aha! My wish came true. I think I have found an unedited version:
In this segment, he calls the smirking, adolescent newsfluffhead stupid, but does it so politely, that she seems not to notice.
His stances on other issues concern me less. Since the President has no legal authority over gun laws (those are a state and local matter) and, in theory, no legal authority over making the immigration laws (before Sultan Barack I, Peace Be Upon Him, that was done by Congress, back when we had a limited government and separation of powers) while I note with disapproval any candidate who voices support for unwise policies in those areas, other areas are more important.
I don’t care if Dr Carson is a creationist or not. Indeed, my opinion of creationism goes up every time I hear of a rocket scientist or brain surgeon who supports it.
For that matter, George Washington was a creationist, as were all educated and civilized men before Darwin erected his rather tenuous hypothesis that species can change characteristics to a point where they form a new species, intersterile with their parent species via an blind process called by the oxymoron ‘natural selection’ (which is to say, unplanned planning; undesigned design).
This theory is not widespread because it satisfies scientific rigor (it does not) but because it pretends to offer a satisfactory explanation for the origin of man that is naturalistic and non-theistic (it is not).
The fact that no scientific observation or experiment has ever confirmed this origin story for man makes it, as far as I am concerned, a dogma of faith taken on authority, but, unlike a religious dogma of faith, by hypothesis there is no authority on which to rely whose word we trust when he tells us it is by this means new species originate.
I don’t care if Dr. Carson thinks the pyramids of Egypt stored the grain of Joseph. I am deeply ashamed for our nation that our press put this matter before public attention, and that the public, including me, is wasting our time with it.
As a science fiction writer, if I had to invent a more trivial matter to distract the public in a period of history (during which the middle east is burning, the Pax Americana has come to an end, the US Constitution is dying, perhaps dead, Europe is overrun by rape-happy hoards of young Muslim enemies, Israel is less than a decade away from being annihilated by a US-funded nuclear Iran, and the debt-addled West is in the first stages of total economic collapse) as imaginative as I may be, I surely could not think of a more useless and insignificant matter to place on the public stage.
Come now: the world is on fire, the flames are at the door of the powder magazine, and the newsvermin wish to quiz a candidate for the leadership of the free world about archaeology and Egyptology.
