Excellent book in a GREAT series

Bought all three in this series and I have to say, John Wright is one of the of the best science fiction writers of our time.

If you love science fiction and want a well written book/series, I would highly recommend purchasing this book and the other two in the series.

Fantastic Conclusion to Great Space Opera

With this book John C. Wright cements his place as the Grandmaster of science fiction. The Superluminary series is a masterwork of science fiction and the most astounding space opera you will ever read. Everything about this story is grand and beyond anything you have seen before. Worlds, solar systems and entire galaxies converted into living weapons to fight an undead foe, intergalactic flight carrying the entire life of a galaxy across the open space between stars and a war that has been waging against the ultimate evil since before the dawn of the human race. This book and series has it all.

The characters are superhuman, impossible to imagine literally in some cases contain stars and yet are real and believable. John C. Wright keeps you connected with the human spirit in all of us. From the Emperor of the Universe to his most junior space trooper you know them and feel for them.

If you like science fiction, space opera, and grand stories this is for you. If you like stories of intrigue and power struggles that last years even centuries, this is for you. When burning a planet to cinder is worth less than a paragraph, or when men with the kind of power Zeus wished he had, or when you want to read a book that makes EE Doc Smith seem small potatoes, or when the Death Star would be a very minor ship, or when insanely over the top is crossed with ubermega on steroids madness and then dosed with hyper gigantic serum, then you have Superluminary.

My comment:

This series was a blast to write. At times, I sat at the typewriter, aghast and giggling at the sheer audacity of the story flowing out of the keyboard. Who knows where it came from? The muse must have been drinking wine.

However, the most audacious things in this book are the astronomical wonders. I solemnly promise that none  of them are make believe. The ultra-giant stars, the supermassive black hole at the galactic core, the astonishing O-type double stars on the brink of hyper-nova: all that stuff is real.  I even took the trouble to make sure that stars were seated in the heavens where I say they are, in a line leading toward the Milky Way core, separated by the distances listed. I did my homework for this one, folks.
