I watched this, and did not know until the end that it was a political ad, or an ad of any kind. Call me naive, if you must, but it took me by surprise.
It was so utterly unlike political ads I have ever seen that I did not recognize it. No spin, no props, no special effects, no slo-mo black and white trying to make the opposition look devilish, nothing fake, nothing Madison Avenue. Just a man speaking, and showing some photos.
Astonishing. What a breath of fresh air.
